From the moment she declared her passion for music in the third grade, Emily Henline’s remarkable journey as a singer and songwriter began to take shape. Hailing from Waynesboro, Virginia, Emily’s love for music has been a lifelong calling, and her determination to follow her dreams has led her to the heart of the music industry in Nashville, Tennessee.

“I’ve had a love affair with music my whole life. Whether it was Friday night family karaoke, dancing in the kitchen to the radio while mom was cooking dinner, or getting to see my favorite artists in concert, I’ve always been surrounded by music.”
The brand new single is a simple but sassy story of a girl trying to get her man’s attention while the game is on.

Surely every girl can relate to how difficult it is to get a guy’s attention while the game is on, and “Drunk On Me” is an ode to just that. She’s not trying to stop him from watching, and she’ll even open his beer, but she’s got better plans in mind, and she hopes he knows what that means!
“My first single, “Boot Fits,” is truly my personality in a nutshell. I was raised under the motto that you don’t have to change who you are to fit anyone else’s version of you, and that’s exactly what the lyrics of this song talk about. I grew up listening to everything from Elvis to Patty Loveless, James Taylor to Linda Ronstadt and so much more – and all of those inspirations are threaded through my music in different ways.”

Emily’s debut single is one of empowerment — especially for women, but really for all young people learning to make their way in the world. “Be who you are… if the boot fits, wear it proudly, but if not, it’s fine just to let it go.”
